WHO WE ARE
We are a labor union that serves the interest of the dedicated employees that operate the Department of Fish and Wildlife’s fish hatcheries and the staff that provide fish health services to them. The union leadership and representatives can represent the interests of its members effectively because they all perform duties in the job classes they represent, so they know the issues you face and can discuss your interests from a place of knowledge. We have an attorney on retainer that is an expert in labor law and specializes in representing local unions.

The hatcheries we operate are extremely important to the state on many levels. We not only are instrumental in the conservation of salmonids but the work we do insures there will be both recreational and commercial harvest opportunities.
Our hatcheries bring in many millions of dollars into the states economy and are highly esteemed by legislators on both sides of the aisle.

Our facilities have deep roots in our local communities and are critical to the success of the local economies they reside in. We have connections to our local schools and user groups and work closely with our constituents.
The staff in our facilities is renowned for their dedication and “can do” attitude. The skill sets we possess are very diverse and make us unique and extremely valuable.
